With Kaspersky and Russia in the news, many of our clients have asked if it’s safe to continue using Kaspersky’s anti-virus software. West Seattle Computers has not seen any evidence to suggest that Kaspersky software is unsafe; to the contrary, it still ranks best or tied for best protection against many forms of malware. Our shop will continue to install Kaspersky whenever top-rated security products are requested. However, there are a couple excellent alternatives and we would be happy to discuss the pros and cons of any security solution.
For now, individuals need to decide whether to keep using Kaspersky software or make a change. The following article discusses some of the complexities involved:
